After merging with Altitude Digital, Genesis Media needed a brand refresh. For this project, I researched several other companies and trends in the ad tech space and contemplated what we wanted Genesis Media’s brand to communicate to the market in order to differentiate ourselves. We concluded that we wanted to convey illumination, transparency, technical prowess, and forward progress as an industry leader.
The logo itself displays a light burst on the left side, giving an illumination feel, as well as connotations of a rocket being propelled forward. The “G” is reminiscent of a power button, and the “E” is a subtle reference to a “page,” since the company’s technology is focused on page-level analytics and adaptive video formats.
